Overview

ShotMaker needed a mobile application that could deliver centimeter-level accuracy for golf shot measurement. We built a cross-platform Flutter app that integrates with RTK GPS hardware to provide professional-grade precision that was previously only available to tour players.

Objectives

• Build iOS and Android apps from a single codebase
• Integrate RTK GPS hardware for sub-centimeter accuracy

• Handle offline-first architecture for course conditions

Approach

We developed a Flutter application with deep hardware integration, communicating with RTK GPS receivers via Bluetooth. The app handles complex positioning algorithms locally, syncs data when connectivity allows, and presents shot data through intuitive visualizations.

Results

• Successfully launched on both iOS and Android app stores
• Achieving consistent centimeter-level accuracy in field conditions
• Processing thousands of shots with reliable hardware communication
